Update on Cliff's Back

Cliff's back is MUCH better! Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. He has had 2 chiropractic treatments that gave him great relief. The trigger seems to have been some rough-housing with the girls, but the injury itself likely happened last fall when he was bounced to the floor of an airport shuttle during an accident. The x-ray showed a small bulge to one of the disks in his lower back. That injury, plus working long hours out of town at Conference for 8 days, plus being so glad to be home that he over-did Daddy time with the girls equalled one exhausted back! He's a trooper, though. He still made his theatrical debut in a skit at church on Sunday AND worked a full day yesterday.

Please continue to pray for his healing, though. He is out of town this week (Galveston over night, DC overnight) and next week (DC). Sitting on airplanes and in meetings and sleeping in "strange" beds is hard on his back.

Yes, theatrical debut! Our drama director recruited him to play the disciple John in a 3 man skit of Peter, James and John in the Garden of Gethsemane waiting for Jesus while He prayed. Due to sound problems, we likely will not be able to share the video with you, though. Suffice to say, he was quite good, had a good time, and is not averse to doing it again. However, he wishes to be considered "contract labor" as opposed to a "full-time employee" of the drama ministry. And he'll probably demand a signing bonus next time. What a diva!
