We have Sprouts!!
Just a week and a half into our gardening adventure and we have sprouts!
Sunflowers, bush green beans, and watermelon right there on the back row.
This has been such a great experience so far. The girls water a little bit every day and check the progress of our plants. The first to sprout were the beans. You should have seen the excitement! That was Monday. Since then, everything else has come up. Actually we're still waiting on the parsley, but the package said it could take as long as 3 weeks.
I calculated our harvest schedule based on the seed packs and it looks like late May/early June for cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and beans. The watermelons should be ready around July 4th. Great timing!
Soon, I will start planning for the next round to be sure we have a fall garden, too.
