Swim team practice started yesterday afternoon, so I am now a swim team mom. Vivian is so cute. After we signed up, she said, "Now we have something in common, Mom!" I thought that was so sweet! Emma Grace decided to cheer for Vivian this year. She wants to see what its all about before she "jumps in," so to speak.
The first practice was about team rules, pool rules, and kick technique. Her age group is 6 and under. Believe it or not, about half of the kids are 5 and 6 and the rest are even younger!

She has practice every weekday for the next 8 weeks. We have 4 meets in June -- on Tuesday nights! The Meet of Champions (sounds awesome, doesn't it!) is the weekend we plan to leave on vacation. We MAY adjust our plans depending upon whether or not she qualifies for the MOC.
This brings back memories -- but from a totally different perspective!

If anyone knows what's involved in being on a swim team, you sure do, Courtney. And you know all about times & turns . . . you'll be officiating in no time. What a great adventure. Love you guys!
