After a false-start in July, school officially begins for the Johnson Family at the Black Horse Academy, our home school.
Our first few days were a bit rough, but we seem to be settling into a routine. I have a few "bugs" to work out regarding preparation and scheduling, but that should come together in the next week or so.
So far we have baked mud bricks and tried to build with them (nomads settling down near the Tigris River), flooded the Nile River (to explain the flooding patterns and farming cycle), constructed a weather station, learned new songs in Music, made prints in Art, progressed in Phonics, and read several books. It has been fun and exciting so far!
